Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry Program partners with parents to help children grow in faith and character. It is based on the church’s vision of helping everyone live a life of love centered in faith, fellowship and service.

Faith: Children have the opportunity to deepen their faith through our Sunday School curriculum (on Vimeo – contact Julie Hanney for access). Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Story Time on our Friends of Bend Church Facebook group page.

Fellowship:  We love our families! As we adventure through this pandemic together, we are discovering new ways to gather in safety.

Service:  The Children and Family Ministries have a strong focus on providing opportunities for children and families to participate in service projects that benefit people both locally and globally.

Kids Church Camps

Children-Church Camps for Kids2-smChurch-Camps-for-youthDue to COVID-19, all UMC camps are closed for the season. We hope to participate again in 2021.

Bend Church participates in the “Go Camping” camping and retreat ministries of Oregon and Idaho. Several camps are offered at Suttle Lake near Sisters, Oregon.

For information on dates, locations, and registration, please visit the Go Camping website here.

Nursery-smDue to COVID-19, the building is closed.
When services reconvene, childcare will be available for children from newborn to 5 years old. The nursery is staffed by one adult worker and one youth worker, and the kids have the opportunity to get to know the people who care for them each week. Parents can be assured that the nursery is a safe environment for their young children and that their kids will be provided with age-appropriate toys and books and experienced, caring nursery workers.
