Words are like seeds. From words, ideas grow.

My husband Michael and I moved our family here from the Seattle area during the summer of 2001.  Our son Ryan had just finished kindergarten and Kathryn was about to celebrate her second birthday during our unpacking.  Bend First was a place we felt at home and quickly became an important part of our lives.  In the Spring of 2004 I was hired as the Director of Children and Family Ministries.
That big long title means I am responsible for the programs that involve children, birth through the fifth grade and their families.  I make sure that the Sunday School is staffed with wonderful teachers and that they have what they need.  I organize family events throughout the year often with the help of the Fellowship Committee.  You will also see me giving the children's message during the service a couple of times a month.
I believe going to church and attending Sunday School is a gift that you give your children; it is a place they can grow and spread their wings in a safe and encouraging environment.  Church is the key component to their lifelong journey with Christ and it is a joy for me to be a small part of it.
