Hi, I'm the "Church Lady". To tell you the truth I never thought I would ever say that. I have been a Methodist all my life but I never thought I would be a church secretary. I don't know why….as I have had a variety of positions in my life from being a Dog Catcher to Hair Stylist and many interesting things in between. I grew up in Portland, lived on the Oregon Coast for almost 20 years. My Daughter and I moved to Roseburg for a few years & there I met my husband Kevin. He lived here in Bend so, needless to say my daughter Cassie & I moved here. Soon to be followed by my parents and my siblings (all but one that is).
My life has taken many turns and I should never say never cause anything can happen. One was when Kevin and I (totally unplanned) were blessed with our wonderful son Jakub in 2004. What a trip in my early 40's . Then Cassie (all grown up) got married to a wonderful young man Jason and I am very proud to say they blessed us in 2006 with a beautiful grandson Caden Jay. CRAZY! Jakub and Caden are like brothers which is awesome. But it's really Uncle Jakub and Nephew Caden a little more than one year apart. Fun fun!
I am a breast cancer survivor which has given me a new love of life and a respect for the beauty of life. This is why I never say never. You never know what tomorrow will bring. I try to live life like there is no tomorrow (in a some what conservative way). I really do wish I was a little more daring. My intentions are not to sweat the small stuff and enjoy each and every day for what it has to offer. I try to keep it positive and look for the good in everything.
So what do I do here….I greet you when you come to visit us during the week or when you phone us. I keep the calendars current and the website up to date. I gather all the info and run off the Bulletins for Sunday's and Chimes News Letter during the months through out the year. I get to report all the wonderful additions to our church congregation, attendance and classes we provide though out in a report every year and who's who in what committee. I'm the lady who books the events in the church, having building use applications approved. I keep up with all the outside groups that continue to grow and need more space for meetings as well as try to keep up with all the classes, committees and groups with in our church that meet here. Plus lot's of other cool stuff . So if you have a question about anything please ask me and if I don't have an answer, I will sure find someone who will.
