UMW represent more than one million women across the country who are committed to the same PURPOSE. As women organized for mission, United Methodist Women became involved in the organization through mission activities and mission partnership ventures in thousands of communities in every state of the United States and in over fifty countries around the world.
Purpose of UMW · To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; · To develop a creative supportive fellowship · And to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church
The larger United Methodist Women is made up of many smaller groups, or circles, of women.
