I have always remembered the values that I was taught as a student: Never stop learning and listening, caring matters, honor your commitments, never compromise your integrity, and remember that each individual is unique and special. I see nursing as an art as much as a science, and strive to see the whole of each person - body, mind and spirit. |

I am new to the Bend area and moved here from the valley to be close to children & grandchildren. I believe that working in ministry here is a wonderful use of the gifts and talents God has given me and I am enjoying meeting new people and making new friends. |

I believe going to church and attending Sunday School is a gift that you give your children; it is a place they can grow and spread their wings in a safe and encouraging environment. Church is the key component to their lifelong journey with Christ and it is a joy for me to be a small part of it. |

Hi. I was born and raised in Bend and have been working with local youth for the last 8 years. I am currently at the Boy’s & Girl’s Club as the Program Director. I am looking forward to working with the youth of this church to see not only ho Christ will shape their lives but mine as well. |

My background with handbells began with our two sons who played handbells in a church youth choir in Kansas about 30 years ago. First they recruited their mother and finally one day someone suggested our family do a bell quartet. |

Hello! My name is Glenda Downs and I am the Chancel Choir Director. What I really feel like saying is, "Hey you guys, I'm HOME." This is truly a homecoming for me; for those of you who don't know, I was a staff member of this church from Nov. 1965 through March of 1989. |

I have a full time position with the school district and have found it a great opportunity to work here part time as well. I take pride in doing a good job and hope I am making a difference in how people feel when they come to church, whether it's church members or people from our community. We are a very active church so it can be a challenge at times, but I feel it says a lot about our church when we open up our doors to so many great programs. So, welcome to our church if you are a visitor and thanks for checking out the website. I'd like to share some words of wisdom "Wipe your feet at the door". (Just kidding, custodial humor!) |

Cindy & I enjoy being busy and active. |

I am Diane Cole, your contribution's clerk. When money comes in I am the one that puts it in the appropriate fund and makes sure your statement gets to you each quarter. I was born in Ohio, we moved to Bend in 1997 and found 1st UMC soon after. I have been a Methodist all my life. I am married and we have 2 teenagers. Since my job is just part time at the church I also do daycare in my home during the week. I love how many friends I've made at this church and hope that if we haven't met yet, we soon will! |

Hi. I’m a new Dad, happily married, enjoy the central Oregon outdoor opportunities year round, and love being able to work in the field of music! |

I moved to Bend in 1991 and married my husband, Vance, soon after that. We have two wonderful children, Ryan and Olivia. Both kids are very big into BMX (bicycle motor cross) and compete regularly. In addition to being the church treasurer, I have an accounting business that services many individuals and small businesses. I work at the church on Tuesdays, so feel free to stop in and say "Hi". |
